Three distinct towns on one beautiful island. Topsail Island is a 26-mile long barrier island renowned for its natural beauty consisting of three charming seaside towns: Topsail Beach, Surf City, and North Topsail Beach. Each community has its own unique character offering full-time residences within commuting distance of Wilmington or Jacksonville.

Topsail Beach, situated on the southern end of the island, offers plenty of places to experience water sports to the max. Surfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing, and boating are all there to give you memorable experiences on the island. Here, you’ll enjoy a more secluded beach environment highlighted by the natural beauty of the southernmost tip of the island, Serenity Point.

Surf City is a picturesque coastal community located both on Topsail Island and the mainland, and is home to most of the island’s year-round residents. Known for its beautiful beaches and laid-back atmosphere, Surf City has become a popular destination for vacationers and residents alike. It is also home to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center, where thousands of tourists visit rescued sea turtles every year.

Located on Topsail Island’s northernmost 11 miles, North Topsail Beach is known for being laid back and peaceful with an abundance of natural treasures. North Topsail Beach’s motto – Nature’s Tranquil Beauty – says it all. From breathtaking sunrises to spectacular sunsets, from beautiful sandy beaches to maritime forests, North Topsail Beach is truly an island paradise.
